Moderate resort check in

Hello! Do you have any ideas yet, on what the approximate square footage will be for the Gran Destino tower rooms? thanks

Greetings, Bridget! Thanks so much for bringing your question to us about Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort! The construction walls have been up for a while, and an end is finally in sight. This 15 story resort is set to open in July of this year, and it will add 545 new guest rooms that are open for booking now!

I assumed that the new rooms in the Tower would be similar in size to the standard sized guest rooms in the original section of the resort, which is 314 square feet. However, my curiosity was peaked, so I made a quick phone call to Guest Services and spoke with a friendly Cast Member.  He was able to tell me that he thinks the Tower's Standard View rooms will be 375 square feet, which is considerably bigger! Before we get too excited about this excellent news, it is unconfirmed, and the Walt Disney World website has still not posted any information about square footage. Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog, where they release exciting new information weekly about the parks and resorts.

One thing that is confirmed though is that the new rooftop restaurant, Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood, is accepting Advanced Dining Reservations now for its opening date of July 9, 2019!  I've heard there will be terrific views of the fireworks, so this is likely going to rival California Grill for one of the more popular restaurants on property.  The menu isn't posted online yet, but I bet it will feature a variety of Spanish tapas (you can just call me Captain Obvious now)!

Hope you decide to check out Gran Destino Tower, Bridget, and have a magical vacation!
