I'd like to make reservations for Character Dining. The most important one's are Elsa and Mickey. I've already tried making a reservation for Chef Mickey's but there seems to be no available times. What's your best experiences?

    Hi Brandi,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Advanced Dining Reservations can be difficult to get, especially for Character Meals. My best experience has been to reserve early.

Chef Mickey's is one of our favorite character experiences! Typically, we make dining reservations 180 days in advance. The closer you get to your trip dates, the harder it can be to get a reservation. My advice is to keep trying. People do cancel, so a reservation may become available. I have often been able to make changes the week before our trip!

In addition, I suggest that you be flexible with your meal times. While planning one trip I decided that I wanted our girls to eat at Cinderella's Royal Table. Those reservations are very hard to get unless you book 180 days prior to your trip. Fortunately, I was flexible. A lunch reservation opened up late afternoon, after 2:00. I happily took it!

So my advice is to check breakfast, brunch or lunch, and dinner for each day you are visiting. Since Chef Mickey's is not in the parks, you can eat there whenever you get a reservation and do not have to worry about park re-entrance.

As of now, there is no character meal with Anna and Elsa. There are a number of Frozen Attractions, however. In Epcot, you can meet Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus and ride Frozen Ever After. Besides Cinderella's Royal Table, you can try making a reservation at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot for a princess meal experience.

I am sending extra pixie dust your way trusting that you will get reservations!
