I'd like to make dinner reservations at Blue Bayou and one of the restaurants in Cal. Adventure to get the reserved seating for the evening shows. What time do you recommend for dinner pre-show? Which restaurant is best in Cal. Adven.?

Hi there, Julie! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am so excited that you are considering the World of Color and Fantasmic! dining packages. There is no better way to ensure you have an excellent meal and a spot waiting for you at these nighttime shows. When making reservations for either of these dining packages, you will want to keep in mind that occasionally the shows have two performances per night. If you want to make sure you receive preferred viewing for the first showing, make your reservation for early in the evening. If you are shooting for the second showing, then a later dinner reservation is what you want. When you make a reservation at certain restaurants, like Blue Bayou Restaurant, it will tell you for which showing you will receive reserved viewing.

For World of Color dining packages after January 8th, you will choose between Wine Country Trattoria and Carthay Circle Restaurant. I adore eating at both of these restaurants, but if you really want to make it a special night, I would opt for Carthay Circle Restaurant. You can choose between lunch or dinner at both for the World of Color dining package. The prices are different for each meal time, so see which option best fits your budget and you are sure to have a phenomenal meal.

I hope this helps! Have a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
