I'd like to bring my new iPad with me to WDW to do some work on vacation. I'd like to avoid 3G charges if I can. Where are the best places to find WiFi spots at Disney World, both in the hotels and in the parks? Love your answers. Thanks so much!

    Howdy Erin!

Thanks so much for the kind words!  I personally think all of the panelists rock!!

So, you have an iPad?  I'm still stuck with a slide rule and abacus. ;-(  Yes - slightly jealous here.

Anyhoo, regarding wireless service, unfortunately it's slim pickings.  A few of the resorts have wireless service in their lobbies (for a nominal fee - around $10 per 24 hour period currently), and none of the parks have public wireless service.  All of the resort do have wired (not wireless) high speed internet, but I don't think that will help you much. Resort internet service is currently approximately $10 per 24 hour period.

In case you want more detail on internet service, one of our prior panelists, Erin, does a simply awesome job providing more details HERE.

In the interest of vacation balance, I must comment that work really doesn't mix well with Disney.  But, I know it sometimes happens.  Hopefully the iPad makes it a bit better for you.

By the way, if you want some more information about laptops, internet, and wireless at WDW, I highly recommend you check out Episode #6 of the new BetaMouse podcast (free download from the iTunes store), which is titled "Disney with Laptops."  I found it very informative and a fun listen.
