Hello! My husband, 3 year old daughter, 1 year old son, my sister and I will be traveling to Disney in November. Since this will be the first time we visit with the kids I'm not too sure how the Child Swap will work with 3 adults and no one riding alone.

    Hi Tricia,
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! I have traveled to the Walt Disney World Resort many times with little ones and the Rider Switch Service (also known as the baby swap) is a great way for you to enjoy your favorite thrill rides without having to compromise with little ones.

Here's how the Rider Switch Service works: let's say you and your sister would like to ride my favorite Magic Kingdom attraction, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Your two children will probably be too small due to the height restrictions for this attraction, so you decide that your husband will stays behind with the kids so you and your sister can ride. If you approach the Cast Member attending the start of the line for the attraction as a group (you've got to bring the kids with you for this) and ask for a Rider Switch pass, you and your sister can wait in the queue (FastPass+ or Stand-by) while your husband waits with the children. Once you're done, your sister can wait with the kids while you and your husband experience the attraction together, this time waiting in the FastPass+ queue.

For rides that do not have height restrictions, you won't need a Rider Switch pass unless one of your kiddos is asleep and you don't want to ride and disturb them, or you're worried they would not enjoy the attraction. If you'd like to see a list of attractions that can be enjoyed by those of all ages, look no further than this fantastic Disney Parks Blog post by Jamie Langdon.

I hope you have a great time on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
