My husband is a wounded warrior, now retired from the military. He uses a service dog to aid him with traumatic brain injury. If we come for vacation, would Disney World Resort accomodate his service dog (hotel and parks)?

    Hello Patricia,

Thank you to your husband for his military service and to you and the rest of your family for your many sacrifices.

Walt Disney World is happy to accommodate guests with trained service animals. As a first step, you should read the WDW website page dedicated to information about service animals. You'll also note the downloadable PDFs of information for guests with disabilities on the right side of that page.

You can find additional information on the independent website allears.net on their page called "Service Animals."

You may also want to consider purchasing the book Passporters Open Mouse for Walt Disney World. This is available through Amazon.com and larger book sellers. Open Mouse gives tons of helpful information for any guest facing medical challenges while vacationing at Walt Disney World.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you need more information. We'd love to help.
