My husband and I will be in WDW on New Year's eve,2015.A cast member mentioned the countries in World Showcase would be ringing in their own New year's eve.To see this,we should get Fast Passes. How can I find out more info on this event? Thanks

    Hello Linda,

I can't think of a better place to ring in the New Year than the Walt Disney World Resort.  It may be a bit early for plans to be finalized for that evening, but there are already some celebrations in the making at various venues throughout the Resort.  Last year, Disney announced their New Year's Eve Celebration via the Disney Parks Blog around the end of November.  We don't know what Disney has up their sleeve for this year, but I'm sure it will be fabulous.  You can see last year's schedule of events to get an idea of what to expect. Typically, there is a salute to each country as fireworks are launched over each pavilion. Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog as more information is released for New Year's Eve 2015.You will need to plan to arrive at Epcot pretty early in the day as the park reaches capacity later in the evening . Fast Pass+ is not required for viewing the spectacular pyrotechnics displays, however, if you want a preferred location, you'll want to obtain the Fast Pass for the Illuminations: Reflections of Earth showing.

Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!

    Be Magical,

    Leanne T.

Walt Disney captured my heart as a little girl and has not let go since. As a parent and grandparent, I have been to the Walt Disney World Resort with children of all ages, and also as empty nesters. I would like to share my years of experience so that you are able to start your own tradition of Walt Disney World memories, just as I have. Learn More About Leanne
