    Sherri from TN Asked

my husband and I will be at WDW for the first time without kids, in years. we've been a lot of times but always with our kids. looking for things to do together thats not to expensive. Thanks.

Hi Sherri! I remember our first visit without children. We loved watching the faces of the little ones as new and exciting things happened and it brought back our own memories with our own children's visits.

Perhaps your budget can swing for one special experience such as a fireworks cruise, Cirque du Soleil, or a wine dinner. Other ideas that cost minimal include water sports such as para sailing, sea raycers, water skiing, and jet skiing. You can also rent canoes or experience archery at Fort Widlerness. For a more leisure activity consider the carriage rides at Fort Wilderness or Port Orleans. We have become big fans of the dinner and a movie at the AMC theater in Downtown Disney and they are due to open a new bowling facility called Splitsville soon.

Evening entertainment is everywhere such as the orchestra and pianist at the Grand Floridian.  A more rousing show is at Jellyrolls with the Dueling Pianos. Sitting on the Polynesian beach one evening for the fireworks show is also a nice treat for the two of you.

We have found that we are not as interested in the attractions in the parks as when we had the children along. Of course we hit those that are our favorites but now we take time to enjoy the entertainment available. It could be the Barbershop Quartet in the Magic Kingdom or the fountain show in Epcot but there is always something to see and do and much easier when you don't have little ones (or big ones) dictating how fast you need to run to get to the next ride.

No matter what you do or not do your trip will be magical and you will start new memories for just the two of you!
