My Husband and I are going to WDW with our 2 children. What hotels have activities for the children so My husband and I can have about an hour or so to our selves to do some shopping and maybe have a quick meal somewhere close by?

    Hi Roseann,

If you're looking for some alone time with hubby, there are two types of child care available at Walt Disney World: in-room sitting and the Disney child care centers.

The child care centers are all located in deluxe hotels (Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Yacht and Beach Club), but guests staying at any of the WDW hotels may use them. The child care centers only take potty-trained children, ages three to twelve. The centers do take reservations and it is a good idea to make them. They open in the late afternoon and will serve your children dinner (which you select from a limited menu). There are movies, games, and planned activities for the children, as well as an area for rest as the evening gets later. You can get current pricing and make reservations by calling 407-WDW-DINE.

If your children are not in the child care enter age range, in-room private babysitting is available for all the WDW hotels. Disney contracts with a few companies to provide in-room sitters, including Fairy Godmothers (407-277-3724) and Kid's Nite Out (kidsniteout.com). These sitters will watch smaller children and infants, older kids, and under some circumstances, special needs children. The sitters generally come to your room with books or small toys. You can use their services during the day or they will put the kids to bed and then stay in the room until you return. For more information on pricing or to arrange for an in-room sitter you need to contact one of the companies above directly.

Enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World and please let us know if you have additional questions.
