Husband and I are going to be in WDW from 1/8-1/13. On 1/10--our alma mater (Auburn University) is playing in the BCS National Championship game! Where besides ESPN Club can we watch the entire game and enjoy some adult refreshment?

Hi, Amy! A big WAR EAGLE to you and congratulations on your team making it to the BCS Bowl Game!  (Although I'm an Alabama fan, I am almost as proud of Auburn as you are. I'd love for them to win it all!)

Okay...let me now give you a few pointers on making sure you celebrate that National Championship at Walt Disney World (WDW)! Depending on where you're staying and who else is with you, I don't think you'll have a problem finding and watching the game in almost any bar or lounge on WDW property...especially the ones in deluxe resorts.  Besides the ESPN Club on The Boardwalk or the ESPN Grill at the Wide World of Sports Complex, check out these great spots to catch the game:

    • Tambu Lounge, The Polynesian
    • The Turf Club Bar, Saratoga Springs Resort
    • Territory Lounge, The Wilderness Lodge
    • River Roost Lounge, Port Orleans Riverside

My recommendation is to scope out your spot before the game  -- making sure they have a comfortable place with the libations you enjoy. Then, ask the bartender or server if they plan on having the BCS game on or if they would mind if you "take over" the TV area.  Most will not mind a bit and will appreciate the action you'll undoubtedly bring to the area! (We've been at WDW and Disneyland when Alabama was playing in a bowl game and have enjoyed the camaraderie as well the competition with other fans watching the game, too!)

Again, best of luck to your team in the game. You'll know that this 'Bama girl will be pulling for the Auburn Tigers to bring a back-to-back championship home to our state! Have a beautiful Alabama day and a magical vacation!
