My husband uses a cane that unfolds into a single seat. Are we allowed to bring this into the Theme Parks?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Sandy!

As the resident doctor on the Panel, I just had to grab your question. Rest assured, Disney wants to provide the most magical of experiences for all of its Guests, including those who need mobility assistance!

Your husband is more than welcome to bring his cane to the Park as it is a mobility aid. I'm sure the stool portion will come in handy during lines or while watching the parades. You also might want to consider an ECV or wheelchair rental as Disney days can be quite long. Wheelchairs and scooters can be rented for the day at the Parks or through Disney's Featured Provider.

To decrease your transit from the parking lots, take advantage of the Disability Parking Lots. You will need a valid disability parking permit, and standard rates apply. If you don't have a disability parking permit, you can ask to park at the end of the rows closest to the Park entrance. Walt Disney World's complimentary transportation is also fantastic, and places you right at the access to all the Magic!

I would highly suggest you take advantage of FastPass+! This fantastic service allows you to skip the standby line at the attractions. Also, you can talk to Cast Members about transferring to a wheelchair during the queue. These attractions comfortably accommodate transfers.

Sandy, if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to come back. I hope this trip is just what the doctor ordered!
