My husband and i were tthinking about staying at the Swan or Dolphin on our next trip to Disney, can we get any kind of dining plan if we stay at one of these hotels? if not where would you recommend a couple in their mid-50's stay?

    Hi Linda,

While the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels offer easy access to Disney's theme parks (particularly Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios), guests there are not extended the opportunity to purchase the Disney Dining Plan.  They are also not able to take advantage of the complimentary Magical Express Transportation Service from Orlando International Airport.  You would have to stay in a Disney-owned resort in order to take advantage of these perks.

If you want to stay in the same region of the Walt Disney World resort as the Swan and Dolphin, consider staying in either Disney's Beach Club Resort or Disney's Boardwalk Inn.  Both are charming deluxe Disney resorts located between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  If you would prefer a Disney resort in the moderate category, consider Disney's Port Orleans Resort French Quarter.  This resort is also quite close to Epcot.

Keep in mind that if you wish to participate in the Disney Dining Plan, you will need to purchase a vacation package that includes theme park tickets (unless you are an annual pass holder or DVC member staying on points).  I hope you are able to incorporate the Disney Dining Plan into your vacation plans as it is a wonderfully flexible way to save money while dining at Walt Disney World.

Best of luck with your vacation plans.  Let us know if there's anything more we can do to assist you.
