My husband and I are trying to budget $ to bring on out 7 day cruise in Nov. We are estimating at least $1000 for just Port Adventures, but are not sure how much to estimate for the on-ship incidentals (drinks, etc.) How much do you suggest for 3 people?

    Ahoy Elisa!
You are so smart to be thinking ahead for your November sailing! Since you have several months to save, I'll share one of my favorite budget tips with you. Each week leading up to my cruise, I purchase a Disney Gift Card from the grocery store. By doing this, I have a nice stash of Mickey money when it is vacation time. If you don't want to deal with a stack of gift cards, you can go online to the Disney Gift Card website and combine your gift cards into one ($1,000 limit per card). You will be happy to know Disney Gift Cards are accepted onboard at Guest Services, and I've also seen Guests use them in the gift shops. Disney will refund any leftover money that you don't spend to your Disney Gift Card so be sure to hold on to at least one until the end of your cruise.
As for how much you will spend, every Disney loving family is different! While so much is included in your cruise fare, there may be some extras you want to indulge in while onboard! First, be sure you budget for gratuities. Speaking of gratuities, my family loves ordering room service (which is included), but we bring singles for the tips. The Big Island cookies and Mickey bars are our favorites! Other expenses always included in our budget are our cruise photos and Disney Cruise Line souvenirs. For adults in your party, you may want to consider a dinner or brunch at Palo or Remy, a visit to the spa, Bingo, a tasting class, and maybe a cup of coffee at Cove Cafe or a glass of wine. If you have a young sailor traveling with you, extra expenses may include mocktails, movie snacks, a visit to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or the Pirate's League, the Royal Court Tea, and the Arr-cade. If you want to stay connected while at sea, the internet is an extra fee to consider.
I wish I could provide you with the magic number, Elisa! But hopefully I've given you a better idea of how you want to spend your money onboard. It's up to you!
