    My husband & I are traveling to WDW on 8/6 - 8/10 with our 9 yr old son for the first time. We opted to stay off property but have 5 day hopper passes. How can we maximize each day at the parks & which parks would require more than a full days visi

    Hello fellow Hoosier!

    So you have 5 days to see as much as you can. But always remember rule #1: There is more here than you will see in one trip, even if you were coming for a whole month. So focus on what you want to do, and know that you will always have some things to come back and see on the next trip!

    Because you are coming at a busier time of the year, you don't want to park hop too much. That takes time, and time on a bus/boat/monorail is time NOT on a ride or watching a show. And avoid Extra Magic Hour parks, as you can use them, and they make their respective parks more crowded. If it were me, I would plan as follows;

    • August 6 - Magic Kingdom (whole day)
    • August 7 - Hollywood Studios (whole day)
    • August 8 - Magic Kingdom (morning, up to lunch) Epcot (lunch through rest of the day)
    • August 9 - Animal Kingdom (morning, through lunch), Magic Kingdom or Downtown Disney (rest of the day)
    • August 10 - Magic Kingdom (morning) / Epcot or Magic Kingdom (evening)
    For this last day, the evening in Epcot would be based on having somewhere to dine that you found interesting, or to end on a great note like the IllumiNations fireworks.

    So this is a start. Write me back with more questions and we can work on more plans, like dining!

    Have a magical vacation!
