    Mary Asked

My husband and I are taking our 3 and 4 year old grandsons to DW at the end of May. Where do you recommand having a character breakfast? Could you please include a price guideline? Thank you.

Hi Mary! A character breakfast is a magical way to start a day at Walt Disney World! I recommend that you choose a breakfast that's close to the park you're visiting that day. Since the parks are least crowded in the mornings, you don't want to waste time on a long bus ride heading to a park after your character breakfast.

If you're visiting the Magic Kingdom, head to Chef Mickey's for breakfast. Your grandsons will love meeting Mickey, Goofy and friends, twirling their napkins in the air during the music, and the buffet that includes all the standard breakfast fare plus goodies like Rice Krispy treats. You can take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom after breakfast.

If you're visiting Epcot, consider the Cape May Character Buffet at the Beach Club Resort since you can walk to the park after you eat. This character meal is a little more subdued than Chef Mickey's but offers lots of good character interaction and tasty food.

If you've visiting Animal Kingdom, try Tusker House for a breakfast meal with Donald Duck and friends. Finally if Hollywood Studios is on your agenda for the day, Hollywood & Vine offers a character meal with the Disney Junior characters, whom your grandsons would probably love meeting!

The price of a character breakfast varies depending on the time of year and the restaurant, but on average you'll pay approximately  $13 to $18 for a child and $ 27 to $33 for an adult, plus tax and gratuity. Chef Mickey's is generally the most expensive; Cape May is usually one of the least expensive.

Wishing you a magical time with your grandsons! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
