My Husband and I are taking our two kids ages 2 and 4 in the begining of September. I am wondering how much spending money we are going to need. I have been to WDW but my husband and the kids have not. Would $500-$1000 be enough for tips and gifts.

    Hi, Ashli!

Planning on spending money is tough.  Here is a rough estimate for you on what you might need:

    - $3 - $5 per day for tipping housekeeping (optional)
    - $15 - $20 per day for tipping server
    - $20 tips for Magical Express, skycaps, bell services
    - $50 per child for souvenirs (set this limit BEFORE your trip!)
    - 5 take home souvenirs for family at $20 each
    - $50 family souvenirs (holiday ornament, cute kitchen towels!)
    - $20 for 2 balloons for the kids!

Based on a 5 night stay, this adds up to about $400 + for the extras.  This does not account for meals, snacks, or add-ons like mini-golf or a trip to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  Really, you can go on a budget and cut out souvenirs, pack snacks, and stick to quick service meals, or you can go all out and do all table service meals, shop til you drop, and treat yourself to the spa each day!   If you have a list of activities you are planning, let us know and we can figure out some more estimates for you.  Happy planning!
