    Nicole from NJ Asked

My husband and I are taking our twin 16 month old boys to WDW next month - they're a little young but we thought they'd still enjoy it...and we would too! Question - are there specific activities or areas of the park that are aimed at children their age?

    Hi Nicole,

We took our daughter to Walt Disney World when she was a toddler, and found that there is so much to do with little ones at all of the Disney theme parks!

If you are visiting Epcot, little ones seem to love Turtle Talk with Crush, where they can interact with Crush from Finding Nemo on a giant screen.  I would also recommend Journey into Imagination with Figment, which is a ride through of imagination.  At Disney's Animal Kingdom, especially if your boys like animals, take a ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris, where they can see live exotic animals such as giraffes and zebras.  Of course there is so much to do for little ones at Magic Kingdom.  Many of the rides in Fantasyland, such as Peter Pan's Flight and Dumbo the Flying Elephant, delight little ones.  At Disney's Hollywood Studios, you can find many of the Disney Junior characters.  Your boys may be interested in seeing Disney Junior - Live on Stage!, which is a fun show including puppets where children can sing and dance along.  Also consider Disney Junior Play 'n Dine at Hollywood & Vine, where little ones can meet their pals from Disney Junior at breakfast and lunch.

I do have a couple of other tips for successful Walt Disney World touring with little ones.  First, as much as you can, maintain their schedule.  If they take an afternoon nap, try to head back to your resort to let them have this rest time.  This will make them - and by extension you! - much happier.  When you are in the Disney theme parks, take advantage of the Baby Care Centers.  These offer a quiet place to feed and change your little ones, or just take a quiet break from the parks.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Nicole!  Have a wonderful time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
