    My husband and I will be taking our soon to be 5 year old to Disney for his birthday. What do you suggest as a special activity we can do with him while we are there. We will be there June 21-27.

    Hi April ~

    Celebrating a 5th birthday at Disney World is a great idea! Be sure to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button for your son at your Disney Resort Hotel or any theme park Guest Relations location. You never know what pixie dust will come his way.

    A character meal is always a great way to celebrate. Chef Mickey's, The Crystal Palace, and Mickey's Backyard BBQ are excellent choices for that age. You could top off his birthday meal with a speciality cake by calling 407-827-2253. Advanced Dining Reservations and 72 hours notice is required.

    Here are some other ideas to make his birthday special:
    * The Pirates League
    * Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage
    * Jedi Training Academy
    * A Pirate's Adventures: Treasures of the Seven Seas
    * Wilderness Explorers
    * Pirate Adventure Cruise
    * Contact Disney Floral & Gifts. Their Dream Makers can help you plan anything including an in-room birthday celebration for him.

    At Downtown Disney, check out:
    * LEGO Imagination Center
    * T-Rex
    * Splitsville

    Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. We're hEAR for you!

    Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
