My husband and I are taking our 17-month old to Walt Disney World in October. We're on a budget. Is it worth it to stay in a Disney hotel? Is it true that there are benefits, such as entering and leaving the parks earlier than other guests?

There are numerous benefits to staying at a WDW resort rather than off-site. One of the benefits, as you mentioned is the ability to get into the theme parks early and stay late during park Extra Magic Hours. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. WDW resort guests also have:

    - Use of the free Magical Express bus service to/from the Orlando airport

    - The ability to participate in the Disney Dining Plan, a discounted meal program

    - Use of the free WDW transportation system to/from your hotel to the theme parks, water parks, and Downtown Disney

    - Use of the WDW childcare centers

    - Free parking at the theme parks

Plus, at the Disney resorts you get the incredible themeing and attention to detail, as well as the opportunity to interact with amazing Disney cast members who always go out of their way to give guests a great experience.

If you're looking to save money, staying at one of Disney's value resorts during value season can be quite affordable.

    Good luck with your planning!
