My husband and I are taking our 11 month old twins to Magic Kingdom for Fathers Day. Any helpful tips on traveling to MK with twins? So far we have fast passes for characters and lunch at Crystal Palace. This will be their first visit.

    Hi Samantha!

Welcome fellow Floridian AND fellow twin mamma to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love chEARing on a fellow member of the Twin Club -we’ve got double the fun and double the crazy to navigate in the Parks!

We took our twins to Walt Disney World Resort for the first time when they were seven months old, and they have been back at least every six months since that time. I think you made the perfect decision in choosing Magic Kingdom Park as their first Disney experience. Fantasyland is MADE for short-stacks! One of our favorite rides, when the kiddos were your twins’ age, was Dumbo the Flying Elephant - we all loved soaring through the sky right before we headed Under the Sea to greet Ariel and friends. I think it’s the combination of the bright colors and moving parts that delights the littles, and it’s their pure joy that delights mom and dad!

The Crystal Palace is a perfect option for a Character Meal. Tigger and Pooh are fantastic hosts, and then you can visit Hundred-Acre Wood and see your friends again! I’m a huge advocate of FastPasses when you’re traveling with littles, but the line for the attraction is interactive and delightful. When you’re ready for a break, find a shady spot (Frontierland on the same side as Country Bear Jamboree) to watch Disney's Festival of Fantasy Parade. It is fantastic, and the twins will love it!

Finally, make use of the Baby Care Centers. They are the best place for you and the twins to recharge and do all the essential things. There is a changing area, a rest area with your favorite Disney movies (it’s a great place to have a snack and hydrate), private nursing rooms and a small store that sells baby essentials. When you’re in the Parks, make sure to bring snacks they love and lots of water. We used to fill their sippy cups with water and freeze them overnight. The water stayed cold throughout the day (eventually we would add additional water to the “ice”) and there was no refusing to drink since it was in “their” cup!

Samantha, you are going to have a great time. I wish you double the pixie dust!
