My husband and I will be taking our daughter, who will turn 7 two weeks before we go, to Disney for the first time. Can you give me any advice on "must do's" for her? We will be going in March. Thanks!

Hello Amy!  Here are some of our must do's with my 7 year old daughter.

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a must do for little girls.  At the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, girls are transformed into princesses by Fairy Godmothers In Training.  There are several different packages to choose from.  To cut down on cost, we chose the Crown Package ($59.95 plus tax) and bring our own princess dress from our local Disney Store.  The experience is the exact same as one of the more pricier packages, they even let the girls change in the dressing room.  The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is my daughters favorite experience at Walt Disney World.  If you do one special extra during your trip, I highly recommend this one.

Another must do for my daughter are the character meet-and-greets.  She loves visiting with the Princesses, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and friends.  I realize she is only little once, so I relish in the fact meeting characters is so magical for her.  There will be a day and time when she rushes right past characters to get on the next ride and the magic of meeting characters will be past us. When it's your first time at Walt Disney World, I know there is a lot of pressure to rush from one attraction to the next because you want to get it all done.  If she wants to stop and meet a character, I highly encourage you to take the time and stop.  It might just be the most memorable part of your trip.

For fun, I asked my daughter what she would recommend for yours.  She said your daughter will love the Festival of the Lion King at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  It's a do not miss.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me.  Have a great day!
