My husband and I are taking our children, ages 6 & 8 to Disney world for the first time. In your opinion, which is the best value resort and why? We were thinking about staying at the value sports resort and have read some mixed reviews. Thank you!

Hello, Lindsay! First visits are always so exciting. I love taking friends and family members for their first time and seeing the look of sheer happiness on their faces. I remember taking my son for his first time and watching his eyes light up on its a small world. I will never forget that moment.

Out of all of the Walt Disney World Value Resort Hotels I would say my favorite is either Disney's Pop Century Resort or Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Both resorts have their own bus system, unlike the All-Star Resorts which share a bus on non-peak times. I suppose the shared bus system wouldn't matter if you chose to stay at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort because it is the first of the stops. The order is typically Disney's All-Star Sports, All-Star Music, and then All-Star Movies. I also enjoy the food-courts more at Disney's Pop Century Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Disney's Art of Animation Resort is the newest of the value resorts, and has the largest pool out of any of the Walt Disney World resort hotels. I suggest taking a look at pictures of the rooms and pools to see which resort might best fit your interests.

I hope this helps, and please let us know if you need anything else! Have a magical first Walt Disney World vacation!
