My husband and I are running the Marathon in January and are bringing my mom (FL Resident) to help with the kids. We are staying for 7 days total but I only see FL Resident options for tickets up to 4 days. Can we get a FL resident discount on 7 day pass?

    Hi Lacy,

I'm happy to help with your question about tickets for Florida residents.

You are correct that the mult-day discounted tickets for those of us who live in the state are for three or four days. Those tickets also limit you to one park per day unless you add the parkhopper option.

I think the best choice for your mother would be Florida Resident Seasonal Pass. The current price for that ticket is about $330, which would get her unlimited parkhopper admission to any of the four theme parks for an entire year with some blockout dates. The blockout dates for 2014 are January 1-January 4, March 23-April 5, June 8-August 15, and December 19-December 31.

Even if she only uses the pass during the seven days you are there, she will find that it is a considerable savings. And, as a passholder, she will be eligible for discounts and other benefits. She will just need to show proof of Florida residency to activate the pass.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. My family has had the seasonal passes for about 15 years, and we love the savings and flexibility the passes offer. Enjoy your time with your mom and your kids at Walt Disney World. And have a great race!
