Hi! What do my husband and I do if we both want to ride an attraction, but one of our children don't. Is there a way to swap adult riders, so one adult is always with the child who doesn't want to ride?

Hi, Danielle!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Your magical vacation is only a little over a month away!  There are so many new and exciting things happening at the Walt Disney World Resort this year.  Now more than ever, it's a great time to visit!

Lots of families are in the same situation as you, Danielle.  Often there are one or more members of a travel party who either do not meet the height requirement for an attraction or simply do not wish to ride.  For this reason, the Walt Disney World theme parks offer the Rider Switch Service.

If one of your little Mouseketeers is not tall enough or just does not want to experience an attraction, you may speak to a Cast Member at the attraction entrance about using the Rider Switch Service.  The Cast Member will scan your MagicBands or admission cards and issue you a Rider Switch entitlement.  One adult will then enter the standby queue with the child, or children, who want to ride.  The other adult will stay behind and wait with the nonriding child.  Once the riders return, the waiting adult may skip the regular line and experience the attraction with up to two other members of the travel party.

If you wish to use the Rider Switch Service for an attraction that you have FastPass+ for, you may certainly do so.  Just please keep in mind that all riders must have a valid FastPass+ for that attraction.

Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
