My husband and I are planning a vacation to Disney World sometime in the not so distant future and are considering getting portraits done by Disney Fine Art Photography. Is it necessary/expected to tip the photographer and assistant? Trying to budget.

    Hi Jacqueline,

First let me say that I am a huge fan of Disney Fine Art Photography. My family has twice done a mini portrait session, once at the Polynesian Village Resort and once at the Grand Floridian, and we were thrilled with the results both times. The photographer worked hard to get as many different poses and groupings as possible in the allotted time. We think it's an incredible value and love that you take the photos with you on a flash drive instantly.

I must confess that it did not occur to me to tip the photographer at the time. While it is not necessary, I have since learned that others do extend a gratuity, and I wish I had thought of it.

So it really is up to you. I would probably budget a tip so that you will be prepared if you feel you'd like to extend the gratuity to your photographer after the session.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Don't hesitate to check back with us if we can do anything else to help you plan your Walt Disney World vacation. Enjoy!
