My husband and I are planning a trip to Disney in September 2015. We will be celebrating our 14 year anniversary. We are also going as our honeymoon. My question is which celebration is better to use? Can we use both? Any tips and ideas are appreciated.

    Hi Christopher,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Congratulations on planning your anniversary trip and honeymoon next year! A visit to Walt Disney World is the perfect place to celebrate you and your husband. I would list both celebrations when making reservations and bookings. Walt Disney World is all about celebrations and yours are milestones to be remembered.

Disney Floral & Gifts has several gifts for Anniversary Celebrations as well as Romantic In-Room Celebrations that you could purchase ahead of time. You could choose to have a beautiful floral bouquet waiting in your Disney Resort hotel room when you arrive, or a full In-Room Celebration. For more ideas, contact a Dream Maker online or at 407-WDW-GIFT.

Another tip I like to share is for a romantic dinner at Epcot. My favorite fireworks show in Walt Disney World is IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. When my wife and I were dating I made dinner reservations at Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room and we were able to enjoy IllumiNations while we ate. It was truly a magical memory, and something we still talk about over a decade later. If you would like to do something similar, ask the Cast Member for a table on the patio when you arrive for dinner. Outdoor seating cannot be requested in advance.

I hope you and your husband have a wonderful time in Walt Disney World next year! Please let me know if I can assist you any further before your visit.

    Have a magical day!
