My husband and I are planning our next trip in Nov. 2014. We are thinking about taking our granddaughter that will be 9 when we book the trip but 10 in Sept. Which age would be have to pay for. She would never eat adult meals .

    Hi Peggy,

How special to be planning a trip with your granddaughter! Unfortunately, if she is 10 years old as of the date of your Disney vacation, she would be charged the adult price if you are on the Disney Dining Plan. If you are paying out of pocket for your dining, you are welcome to order her a children's meal at the counter service restaurants. I face this issue myself, as my 10 year old daughter eats like a bird and it's hard for me to swallow paying full adult price for her. As far as Table Service meals go, for character dining, buffets, and meals with a set price, she will have to pay adult price as well. However, if there is a menu to order off of, you can request a children's menu for her. Many of those restaurants will allow her to order off that.

Wishing you a wonderful vacation! Please let us know if we can help you plan,
