Me and My husband are planning our first trip to Disney world next year with our 3 year old son. Do we need to purchase meal plans for him? And does he need a magic band for the parks and rides?

    Hi Kayla!

First trips are so exciting!  All guests ages 3 and older are required to have a park ticket for admission.  Since your little one is 3, he will need a valid ticket to enter the parks.  If you are using MagicBands, your family will need to link your tickets to your MagicBands in your My Disney Experience account.  Your son doesn't have to wear his MagicBand, but it does need to be brought with you when you enter the FastPass+ attraction queues.  My daughter doesn't like to wear hers all day, so I usually just attach it to mine when we are going on an attraction and then keep it clipped to the stroller handle when we are just walking around.

He will also be required to be added to the Disney Dining Plan if you choose to add that to your vacation.

    Have a magical day!
