My husband and I are planning our first Disney trip for our sons 2nd birthday! If we use the shuttle service, do they have carseats available or would we need to bring one? I'm confused because I don't want to carry one around all day

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mariah! I have two little kids who still need carseats, so I’m well versed in Disney transportation and those little bodies moving about property. I’m here to tell you that you can rest easy.

As soon as you land at Orlando MCO airport, grab your luggage and head to level 1B for Disney’s Magical Express. This plush coach bus service does not require any car seats, even for the littlest babies (in fact, they are not allowed in the cabin because they cannot be secured accordingly) and the drivers will help with both your luggage and strollers under the bus. When you reach your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, the bus system, monorail line, and watercrafts do not require car seats. I either babywear my tiny ones or have my toddlers sit in my lap or in an end seat. In the late hours as we return from fireworks, I find my kids sleep on top of me in my arm rather than ride in a seat! If you need to take a Minnie Van, these private cars for hire are equipped with two Forever Car Seats by Graco, should you need to use them. Likewise, if you need to go off property for any reason, you can copy my family as we will use the UberFamily option in the UBER app, which comes with one car seat per car. The Disney Car Care Center offers carseats for their car rentals, as well, so you will have a plethora of options that do not require or will offer you a carseat. You can leave yours at home and breath easy!

If I can help you with magical moments for toddlers or where to find some extra pixie dust, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
