    Nicole from HI Asked

My husband is planning to take our family (dd 7 and ds 3 )to wdw for a few days next year. I asked him to plan our vacation around our 10th anniversary July 1. I would really like ideas on a really memorable first visit and grand 10th anniversary

    Hi Nicole,

How exciting to be taking your children for their first trip to Walt Disney World and also to celebrate your 10th anniversary! Simply being at Walt Disney World will make these occasions special. Let me offer you a few more ideas for making your celebrations even more wonderful.

Be sure that you all get celebration buttons at Guest Relations at any of the Disney theme parks. Your children can get a "1st Visit" button, and you and your husband can get "Happy Anniversary" or "Happily Ever After" button. It is really fun to hear other guests and cast members alike wishing you a special day when you wear these buttons. Also, you never know when a little extra pixie dust, like an extra cupcake or free balloon, might be sprinkled on your vacation if you are wearing the buttons. This is not guaranteed, but it is lovely if it does happen.

You can also check out Disney Floral and Gifts, who can customize a gift celebrating your occasions. They can help you to make a surprise gift welcoming your children to Walt Disney World, or a nice anniversary gift for your husband. I suggest that once you peruse the website, you call them at 407-WDW-GIFT (407-939-4438) to work with a Dream Maker to customize your gift.

Finally, how about an elegant night out to celebrate your anniversary? Walt Disney World has so many lovely restaurants. A night at the California Grill or Citricos would be a great way to celebrate. If your little one is potty trained, both of your children can spend the night at one of the Walt Disney World Children's Activity Centers. This link also has information about Kid's Nite Out, an independent provider of in-room child care.

I am limited in the space that I have to answer, Nicole. Please do write back if you have any further questions!
