My husband and I are planning to bring our daughter and son (3) to DW for the first time in June. Our daughter will turn 5 while there and loves the Princesses, especially Ariel. What do you recommend to make her birthday extra special?

Hi, Jennifer!  Ahhh, how I loved those days with my girls when they were five!  The princesses held such magic, and I cherish the photos I have of the girls with their favorites!

Ariel is frequently featured in her human form at the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in EPCOT.  I say frequently, because there aren't any guarantees for any particular character to appear, but we've been fortunate on all of our dining experiences there that Ariel has been there and not off chasing something sparkly and wonderful somewhere else!  You can make reservations there for breakfast, lunch or dinner on your little princess's special day!

Another thing you might want to do is make an appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in either Downtown Disney or the Magic Kingdom.  There are packages designed to fit a variety of budgets, but they will transform your little one into a beautiful princess, with hair, make-up (very subtle and child friendly), and pixie dust!  Some of the packages include a princess costume of your choice, and they usually have Ariel's ballgown as one of your options.

Cinderella's Royal Table at the Magic Kingdom is the ultimate experience for a royal birthday celebration!  A meal here features some of your favorite princesses, and you can add a special package called "Her Royal Highness", which will include a balloon, a tiara, and a beautifully decorated cake.  You can get package information HERE.

One other thing you might do is check out some of the packages available at the Disney Florist.  You are sure to find something special for a very special day!

Have a great vacation and a wonderful celebration!
