My husband and I planned a last minute trip to DW at the end of May, leaving us barely 2 months to plan! We have never been to DW before, and we are bringing our 1 year old. Is this a horrible idea? Need advice since we are newbies!!!

    Hi Rebekah!

A trip to Walt Disney World is never a horrible idea!  In fact, when traveling with young ones, I often think it can be better to remain flexible and not plan too much.  With so much to experience it can seem overwhelming for your first trip, but you have come to the right place.  We love helping turn your dream vacation into a reality!

There are so many wonderful activities your little one will be able to experience with you.  My kids loved riding Dumbo, "it's a small world," The Seas with Nemo and Friends and many others, when they were that age.  There are truly so many rides and attractions you will enjoy together, as a family. For the adventures he/she is unable to join you on, but you and your husband would like to experience, check out the Rider Switch Service.  It is a great way for each of you to enjoy the more thrilling attractions without having to wait in line twice.

In beginning your planning, I would recommend looking into what attractions you may want to use your FastPass+ reservations for, as well as, looking to see what dining locations are on your must-do list.

If you come across any other questions or concerns during your vacation planning, please come back and let me know how I can be of further assistance.  I would love to help make your first magical visit feel just like a Disney Fairy Tale.

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family: graduations, pregnancies, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, reunions, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon. I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help add a little extra Pixie Dust to your next magical adventure. Learn More About Lauren
