My husband and I would like to have one dinner alone during our visit. We purchased the Dining Plan. Any suggestions for how to handle the extra table service credit that would be on our children's accounts?

    Hi Caragh,

The easiest thing to do is buy a counter service meal with it.  You are allowed to use a table service credit for a counter service, but you can't use a counter service credit for a table service meal.

During one of our last trips, my family ate a really early lunch and had a late dinner reservation.  We were all a little hungry in the late afternoon.  We used one counter service credit to buy a hot dog, french fries, and yogurt parfait.  My husband ate the hot dog while my daughter and I split the yogurt and french fries.  It was just what we needed to hold us over until dinner.

You also may find that they are times during your trip when the kids are a little cranky.  It might be worth getting them some food even though you and your husband aren't hungry enough for a full meal.  These extra credits will help in that situation too.  I can only talk from my experience.  My little one seems to do better when she gets 4-5 small meals a day.
