My husband and 2 your old son and I are looking to plan a trip this November (2013). November isn't typically warm enough to swim, which resorts have the best playgrounds for toddlers. We plan to spend a lot of time at the resort. Thanks

Hi Cari!  November is certainly one of those months where it can be very warm or start to have cooler evenings. In fact in the last two years I have had trips in December where it was quite hot!

One of the best resorts to stay at where you have many things to do beyond swimming is the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds. You can book a cabin which comes with a full complete kitchen and a picnic table and grill outside. There is one small bedroom with a double bed and bunks and then a pull down murphy bed in the living area. There is one bath and two TV's plus DVD player. They are not new but actually very comfortable and very peaceful.

Fort Wilderness has many play grounds around the property that includes basketball hoops and volleyball nets plus the typical slides and swings. This is also home to the Disney stables where you can visit the massive horses seen in the Magic Kingdom or Cinderella's ponies that pull her coach. Pony rides are available for a small fee there as well. There are lots of walking trails and you can rent bikes and canoes at the Bike Barn or try your luck fishing in the canals.

My favorite "typical" resort on property is the Yacht and Beach Club as their pool area is far beyond just the swimming pool. There is a sandy bottom in part and even if it is a bit cool this is a great place for the little ones to just sit and build their sand castles. You can also enjoy the sand of the beach in front although you can't go in the water of the lagoon. Volleyball nets are up and lots of green grass to run and play at these resorts.  The location is close to Epcot and actually within walking distance to Hollywood Studios as well. The Boardwalk area is right across the bridge which brings even more dining and fun within just a few minutes walk.  Hope this helps you decide on which resort to book for your upcoming vacation!
