    Susan from TN Asked

My husband is having problems with walking. He is having hip surgery when we get back from wdw. If he gets bad enough and needs a wheelchair do we need to get a doctors note to be able to go into the handicapped lines?

    Hello Susan!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I hope you are having a magical week.

Walt Disney World has wheelchair rentals but they are on a first come, first served basis. I would stop by Guest Services in any of the parks to talk to a Cast Member about the Disability Access Service as well. You will not need a doctors note, but a Cast Member will ask a series of questions to determine your needs. On most attractions, there is a wheelchair accessible queue that is either within the regular line or you enter through the Fastpass line or exit of the attraction. A Cast Member at the ride can assist you from there.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon!
