My husband & I go to Walt Disney World ever for my birthday but I did not go lest years or this year how can I save money for next years.

    Hello, Ryan!

This is a great question, because a trip to Walt Disney World can be planned according to any budget; you just have to know what your options are. :-)

First, get an idea of what you'd like in a trip. How many days would you like to visit? What type of accommodations do you need? Do you have to park hop, or can you plan to visit one park per day? Will you bring your own food into the parks? (etc.)

Next consider how to cut the cost of that trip down wherever possible. Stay one or two nights fewer. Bring snacks and drinks with you to cut down on dining bills. We bring breakfast items and sandwich items for lunch or dinner so that we can, if we want to, only eat out once a day. We've enjoyed our resort for a day or two, too, so that our park passes were a little less costly, and have skipped adding the Park Hopper option, too. This also makes us relax a little more, since we're just going to enjoy one park for one day.

For us? We'll tend to skip going to the movie theater, make our own pizza on a Friday night or even borrow DVDs from our local library. The money we would have spent on entertainment or dining out goes right into our Disney fund, and helps us build up a little money for a stay in our favorite place on Earth.

Investigate your options so that you'll know just how affordable a trip to WDW can be, if you know what you don't need to make it magical. Good luck! Send more questions as you plan the visit that's just right for your next birthday visit to WDW! I'd love to help!
