Can my husband and I go in the single rider line and do the parent swap?

    Hi Michael,

What an excellent question! Yes, it is possible to combine Rider Switch with the single-rider line at any attraction offering these convenient services. Simply go to the ride's entrance and ask the Cast Member for a Rider Switch pass. Then one adult can use the single-rider lane to get through the attraction line faster. Please note that it is truly a single-rider line. If there are two or more people from your travel party going through this queue, they will most likely be separated to ride the attraction. So for instance, if you stay behind with younger children while your husband goes into the single-rider line with your tween, they may be split once they reach the attraction. If instead he was to enter the single-rider lane with a child that is barely tall enough to ride the attraction, I recommend going through the stand-by line instead. It will take longer, but that would ensure they would be riding together. If it's just you and your husband taking turns while one of you waits outside with the kids, then combining the single-rider lane with the Rider Switch service is by far the best option.

On a related note, please read this excellent Disney Parks Blog entry about height requirements for the most popular attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort. Also don't forget that you can schedule up to 3 FastPass+ selections, depending on availability, for everyone in your travel party for a single park per day.

Wishing you and your family a most unforgettable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
