Hi. Both my husband and I want to go parasailing on castaway cay. WIll our 7yo 16 yo and 10 yo be able to ride on the boat with us?

    Ahoy, Heather!

Thanks for cruising by with your question. I recently answered a similar question for a guest, and I'll be happy to tell you what I found out!

The Disney Cruise Line agent I spoke with referred me to this bullet point in the information section on the Parasailing Port Adventure page, regarding ride-alongs:
    • All Guests must have a paying ticket and no ride-along Guests are permitted
Your children are welcome to ride on the boat, however - all guests on the boat must have a paying ticket, whether or not they parasail (No ride-alongs). It was explained to me that you're welcome to ride in the boat, but must also purchase a ticket to do so. Space in the boats is very limited, and they want to be able to offer as many flight times as possible for guests visiting the island.

On our last cruise, we made parasailing a family affair! We have two children, so my husband and I each did a tandem ride and took one daughter up with us. They loved it! Now it's a must-do on every visit to Castaway Cay. Its amazing how peaceful and quiet it is when you're sailing over the island. And WOW, what an awesome view you have of the cruise ship and the beaches!

If you and your husband need somewhere for the kids to hang out while you parasail, your youngest two can enjoy a special area on the island  - Scuttle's Cove. Simply check them in with the Youth Counselors while you enjoy your adventure, and they'll be entertained with fun and games until you return! For your sixteen-year-old, check your Personal Navigator for times and meeting locations for teens on the island. There's lots to do for everyone!

I hope this helps with your planning! Have a magical day - Diane W.
