My husband and I are Florida residents - can we buy tickets for our 7 year old grandchild and our son and daughter in law using our resident discount. We will be with them at the park. Also - how can I add the fast pass to my order? Thanks for helping me

Hello Diane, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I always love to chat with other Florida gals!

It sounds like you have a fun family visit coming up! I can't blame you for wanting to share a little Disney magic with them. So here's the scoop on buying Florida Resident Tickets for Walt Disney World. As Floridians, we have to show ID with proof of Florida residency to activate and use them. That means your son and daughter-in-law unfortunately wouldn't be able to use tickets for Florida residents, but that proof isn't required for children, so you should be able to buy a ticket for your grandchild.

I'm so glad you're thinking ahead and planning to use FastPass+ for your Walt Disney World visit. And one of the best things about FastPass+ is that it's completely free for all Guests! All you need is a valid Theme Park ticket or Annual Pass. The way to get the most out of FastPass+ is to buy your tickets in advance, either online or by phone. Then, you'll want to create a My Disney Experience account if you don't already have one, link your tickets, and start selecting your FastPass+ attractions. You can make up to three FastPass+ selections per day for attractions in one Theme Park. When you're in the Park, just tap your MagicBand or ticket card at the attraction entrance and go!

Diane, if you have more questions about how to use FastPass+, please feel free to stop by and see us again. We're more than happy to help you plan a magical Walt Disney World visit with your family.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
