Hi, my husband and I will be at Disney world September 2018 with 2 small ones, 2 and 1, my question is rider swap and fast passes. I was told that I only need to make a fp for 1 of us if we are gonna use rider switch. Is that correct?

Hello Michelle! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My family implemented the Rider Switch Service by accident during a recent Walt Disney World Resort vacation when we measured our son incorrectly and he was unable to board a glider for Soarin' at Epcot.

After we arranged the Rider Switch Service with a Cast Member at Soarin', my wife and daughter entered through the FastPass+ Queue as we had previously booked FastPass+ Selections for the experience. Had we not had FastPass+ Selections, my wife and daughter would have been asked to wait in the Standby queue. My Rider Switch Pass granted me and my daughter access to the FastPass+ queue upon their return for my first flight and my daughter's second while my wife waited with our son.

The way Rider Switch Service works, the second party is granted access to the FastPass+ Queue regardless of scheduled FastPass+ Selections. If the first party wishes to utilize the FastPass+ queue, every member of the first party must have a FastPass+ Selection.

With a solid plan, Guests could work it out so that a FastPass+ for an attraction and a Rider Switch Service Pass could get 2 separate parties in the FastPass+ queue at the same attraction.

    Happy Planning!
