    Helene from NY Asked

My husband and I will be at Disney for my 65 birthday. We have all reservations made. We will be in Magic Kingdom for 1 day on a planned Mickey's Halloween party day. How will this affect us?

For now, I’ll wish you a Happy Unbirthday, Helene! Congratulations on your upcoming celebration at Walt Disney World Resort. In my opinion, there’s no better place in the world for such a party!

If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom on a designated Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, opening hours, rides and attractions will be as normal, but you will notice costumed partygoers arriving in the park around 4pm. While official festivities won’t begin for a few hours, your FastPass+ reservations and such will be fine until about 7pm, when the party officially starts. At this time, guests who do not have a party ticket (or get a wristband at the front of the park from 4-7pm) will be ushered out of the park.

Last fall, I had the same circumstances with my husband’s family, and we made our way to the Emporium for souvenirs by 7pm, and were out to the monorail by 7:30. Having spent a long day in the park, we were ready to hit the hay. Alternatively, when I attended the party with my best friends, we were those costumed guests arriving at 4, and we had a great time at the party. If you’d like to simply “Disneybound” or wear a Mickey pumpkin shirt, the parades, spectacular shows and special character meetings would be a very special way to spend your birthday! I guarantee a frightfully good time!

Have a magical vacation, and if I can help with your BOO-tiful festivities, please let me know! ~ Lindsey P.
