My husband and I are considering our first Disney Cruise for May 2015 and plan on taking our 3 year old twin girls. I am debating if I should bring our double stroller with us (it's the width of a standard wheel chair) or two umbrella strollers?

Welcome aboard, Nicole! Your girls are at such a great age to enjoy everything on your very first cruise with Disney Cruise Line! My son was three on his first Disney cruise and it was so amazing to experience the magic through his eyes! You'll have twice the magic with twin three-year olds!

If you think you'll be using the stroller(s) quite a bit when you head out on Port Adventures or to explore on your own in the ports of call, bring those strollers! Onboard, it was easier for us to let our little man walk with us because the halls can be tight, especially in areas where many other guests are congregating. So, we really only used our umbrella stroller in the ports. A tip here, is that Disney provides strollers and wagons free of charge for guests on a first come, first served basis on Castaway Cay near the two Family Beach tram stops. Grab a wagon, load up the girls and their gear and head to the beach. Really easy!

Onboard, Disney also offers full sized single strollers on a first come, first served basis at Guest Services. But, with twins, borrowing two full sized strollers would be a bit much to store in your stateroom.

Now, since I assume you'll be flying in before your cruise, bringing your own strollers is a good idea because you can use them in your travels before and after your cruise vacation. Since space can be tight in your stateroom, I would recommend bringing the two umbrella strollers. These are so easy to slide under the bed, keeping them out of the way. That makes it easier in the airports too. Depending on how large your double stroller is, folding it and keeping it out of the way with two little ones in the stateroom might be a bit hard. I know I'm glad we never brought our double (one behind the other) stroller with us, because it was bulky.

I hope that helps as you plan your vacation! Stop back if you have other questions before you set sail!
