My husband and I are coming to WDW Sep16-21 with our two small sons, one is 3 and the other will be 1 year when we get there. Is the Not So Scary Halloween something worth doing with boys this young? It is a lot of money to waste.

    Jessica,

This is kind of a hard question, but I think I have an answer. When my girls (also fellow Hoosiers!) were 1 and 3 I would not have spent the money on Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Don't get me wrong. It is a GREAT party!

But there are a few reasons why I would wait a few years.

First, your kids are so young that you are probably not going to get to take advantage of the full duration of the party. Kind of a shame to spend so much for what would amount to just a few hours for you.

Second, I don't think kids that young would really get it. Even though they will enjoy getting candy, and may understand the concept of Halloween, you could probably buy a barrel full of that candy for the cost of entry to the party.

Third, I just think you could find better ways to spend this money. You could put it towards a character meal, or maybe a bump up in resort level. Or better yet, put it in the bank and consider it a down payment on your NEXT Walt Disney World vacation!

Write me back if you have any follow up questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
