Hi! My husband and I are bringing our two teen daughters and our two sons 5 & 6 year old to WDW for the first time. We want to make this a magical experience for them all but not sure how to please them all while trying to stay together for the most pa

Hi Kelly! It can feel challenging when planning vacations with two different age groups involved in the family. But Walt Disney World is a place where all ages can find magic and happiness.

My first suggestion is to go over all the attractions in the parks that you are hoping to visit. (I recommend all four). You can find the lists on the disney website, www.disneyworld.com. Have each child make a list of "must do" and "possibly do if time" for each park. The younger boys will need your help of course but in the end you can compare the lists from each child. Those attractions that are on all of them you will put at the top of your list. Then you look at what is on most lists etc. Use that as your base for visiting and experiencing the parks when you wish to stay together. Your teenage daughters might enjoy a thrill ride and wish to do that while you are taking the younger ones on something a bit more mild. You choose a meeting spot understanding that sometimes lines will take a bit.

Once you are in the parks you might feel better about letting the older ones go off more but always insist on meals being together. When we planned our family reunions we had a wide range of ages with the children and understood that interests varied as well. We had meeting locations and times and always had meals together to share the experiences each one had that day.

I am sure everyone will have an awesome time and the more you allow each child to feel a part in the planning the more cooperation you will get once you arrive. After all, many things will have come from their choices so they can't argue too long and hard!
