My husband and I are bringing 4 kids ages 9,7,4 and 1. There are many rides the three big kids can ride but the 1 year old can not. How will we seat ourselves with 1 adult and 3 kids on the rides? If we use child swap can all 3 big kids ride again?

    Hi Kim,
Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You've got a great question and its one that we get asked quite frequently by parents with multiple kiddos. As the mama in a blended family of four, I understand the distress in making sure everyone gets to do the attractions that are intended for taller guests.

The Rider Switch Service allows you to split up into two groups. Be sure your entire group goes to the Cast Member working the front of the queue to ask for your Rider Switch Pass. The first group goes through whichever queue is appropriate (Stand By or FastPass) while the second group waits. Then, you switch and the second group gets to go through the FastPass line for their turn on the attraction. In your case, it may be required to split up into groups of three and two (assuming everyone in your party rides only once). The minimum age to ride alone is 14, so all of your children will need to be with an adult and some of the rides won't be able to accommodate four riding in a seat together. Note that they don't keep tabs on who has already gone, so if your husband wants to take all of your older children in two trips, that is allowed. Your children are also allowed to ride twice, so if you want to load up and do three people in each trip, that's ok also.

Kim, I hope you have a magical time and enjoy the Rider Switch Service! I've used it dozens of times and I really love the flexibility it gives us in ensuring that all of our kids get to experience each attraction on our visits.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
