My husband and I are bringing are 3 children to Disneyland for the first time. Ages are 5 and our twin 3 year olds. We will not have any help. Any advice is much appreciated!

Hello, Janelle! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!

So many magical memories are in store when you and your family visit the Disneyland Resort for the first time! My first bit of advice is to measure your children, with their shoes on, before you visit the parks. Knowing their heights beforehand will help you determine which attractions are available to which children. You can sort the Attractions page by height to get a clear picture of all the attractions you can ride during your trip.

For any attractions that your 3-year-olds aren't tall enough for, you and your husband can take advantage of Rider Switch. This will allow the two of you to take turns riding attractions and watching the little ones with minimal waiting. Plus, if it's an attraction your older child is tall enough to ride, he/she can ride twice (once with each parent)!

Next, definitely plan on bringing your own stroller for the little ones as the Disneyland Resort doesn't rent double strollers. Little legs tire quickly so a stroller is certainly needed to quickly and easily move the kids around the parks.

Finally, one of the most important things to plan for with children is building in time for daily breaks/naps. My 5-year-old rarely naps at home, but it is a necessity that we take afternoon breaks whenever we visit the parks. Some downtime will allow you and your kids to recharge after a busy morning in the parks so you are all ready to head back if you plan on enjoying any nighttime entertainment.

I hope this helps. Please stop by again with any other questions you may have as you plan your adventure!
