My husband and I (both 24) are going all-out, staying at the disney resort (French Quarter) and also got the dining plan! Any planning tips, where to eat, what to do on what day, MUSTs etc would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Ashley!

How exciting!  I remember when my husband and I were young, and went "all-out" at Walt Disney World!  We would go from sun-up to sun-down, and beyond!  It's nice to have boundless energy, so take advantage of it as much as you can!

The Disney Dining Plan is fantastic!  Make sure you make advanced dining reservations as soon as possible!  These fill up quite quickly, so you want to do this as soon as allowed, usually 180 days out from your reservation.  Some of our favorites include:  California Grill at the Contemporary Resort, Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club Resort, Via Napoli in the Italy Pavilion in EPCOT, Prime Time 50s Cafe in Hollywood Studios, and BOMA at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Don't go thinking you're too old for Character Dining - Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary can't be beat!  YUM!

Explore the Disney website to find out which days offer Extra Magic Hours, and then plan your schedule accordingly.  Check out parade & fireworks times for each Park, and make sure you arrange to see them!  If you've got the energy, then get there when it opens, stay until close, and then head over to Downtown Disney for some shopping, entertainment & fun!  I bet you'd love Disney Quest at Downtown Disney West Side!

Don't forget the Water Parks, if they are included in your tickets!  Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach are must-do's, especially if you are going in the summer!

If you enjoy sports, check out the golf, water sports, and even a tour of ESPN's Wide World of Sports!

Have a fabulous time in Walt Disney World!  My advice is to use that youthful energy and pack in as much excitement as you possibly can!
