Husband and I will be at AK w/o our kids. Trying to decide between breakfast at Tusker House (with reserved ROL) or lunch at Yak and Yeti. We've never been to either. Suggestions? At Y&Y are we able to split a meal or just get appetizers?

    Hello Betty!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my favorite Disney Resort hotels when it comes to dining. For breakfast, I highly recommend Boma - Flavors of Africa. We have recently started our day there with friends and it has become my husband’s favorite destination for breakfast at the Walt Disney World Resort. This is not a character dining location, like Tusker House Restaurant, but believe me, you will not be disappointed! For a romantic evening, start with drinks at Victoria Falls Lounge and then have dinner at signature dining restaurant Jiko - The Cooking Place. Take a short walk or the shuttle over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village for lunch or dinner at Sanaa. Check if a savana view table is available and marvel at the beautiful animals while savoring their amazing Indian-style bread service and perfect drinks.

We have also recently had dinner at Yak & Yeti Restaurant and it has become our favorite at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Their menu is so varied that we had a hard time deciding what to order because everything looked great! I usually only order an appetizer and steal some bites from my husband’s plate at table-service locations, but this time I had to order an entree for myself. Service was simply incredible, our server was very knowledgeable, gave perfect suggestions and took great care of us! The Kobe beef burger is amazing!

My final recommendation: breakfast at Boma - Flavors of Africa and dinner at Yak & Yeti Restaurant.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
