Greetings Alexa,
What a great trip to make with your husband!
While the summer is peak season at the
Disneyland Resort and August is generally busy, in my own experience, the busiest months are June and July because many families start winding down their summer fun by the time August comes around since many students return to school in August.
Either way, I would plan ahead and take advantage of the
FASTPASS Service to avoid long lines at select attractions. I would also make
dining reservations up to 60 days in advance in order to secure a table. A great restaurant I recommend, which isn't too expensive is the
Plaza Inn at the end of Main Street U.S.A.
It has gorgeous Victorian decor that make for a romantic setting with gold chandeliers and velvet curtains. There are Disney characters that visit your table for a great opportunity to make Magical memories!
Depending on the time of day you dine at the Plaza Inn, there are wonderful meal options with a
buffet style menu. For breakfast, you can enjoy small Mickey-shaped waffles. For lunch and dinner there are a variety of options, including a selection of pastas, pot roast and salads.
I hope this helps!
And if you're celebrating a birthday or an anniversary, don't forget to mention that to your host.
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
