    Alycia from TX Asked

Howdy! Is it better to fly or drive to WDW? My family of 6 is traveling from Texas!!!

    Hey Howdy Hey Alycia!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  So nice to see a fellow Texan here!  I know you'll understand when I say this, because Texas is BIG!!  It is a HUGE state, and when it comes to road trips, well, Texas is in a league of its own!  Depending on where you live in the Lone Star State, it can take you the better part of the day just to get out of the state, which is fantastic for sight-seeing, but not for inpatient passengers.

Our family of five prefers to fly.  I've made the drive several times as a child, and being able to break it up with a stay here and there along the way certainly helps to break up the driving!  It will add travel time as well, potentially taking away days you might be spending at Walt Disney World.  If you are limited on time, and want to maximize your time at Walt Disney World, I'd definitely suggest flying.

If you search airlines and frequently check rates, you can often times find very reasonable rates to Orlando International Airport.  It really boils down to your vacation budget and the time allotted for your vacation.  It would be a great idea to sit down and review your vacation budget to see which option would be best for your family.

    Have a magical vacation!
